Investment Director & Associate
The role:
The Fund has a focus on performing companies that require debt financing for growth purposes. The Fund seeks to build relationships with companies that are embracing sustainability challenges and opportunities, including the transfer to a low-carbon economy. Sectors in the Fund are expected to include energy efficiency, waste to energy, water treatment and solutions, healthcare and disposable and bio-based environment packages. The Fund will have a global focus, but will tend to concentrate on investments in Europe and the US from their London office.
The candidate:
• Our client is looking for exceptional candidates from broad debt finance transactional backgrounds, including renewables, leveraged finance, mezzanine finance, etc.
• Candidates from an entrepreneurial fund environment will be preferred.
• Candidates will have excellent deal sourcing skills,strong pricing skills, excellent due diligence, loan documentation and legal negotiation skills.
• Candidates with German or Swedish language skills will be viewed favourably
• Our client is particularly interested in talking to candidates who are very interested in sustainable investments
Our client:
Our client has strong track record of integrating sustainability in investment decisions. This is an investment in companies with focus on sustainability challenges and opportunities, and that are typically unable to access the wider capital markets.
They will aim to lend to companies whose business plans are sustainable in the broadest sense, including being alert to future environmental and social factors and regulatory risks.
Our client's investment approach is based on the idea that sustainability factors-economic, environmental, social and governance criteria-will drive a company's returns over the long term.
