Investment Director -Private Equity – Poland Office recruitment
The client:
The client is a European Private Equity firm with a strong track record in investing capital within high growth potential SMEs within Europe. Over the past decade they have rapidly grown to a wide portfolio of profitable investments across a variety of classical industry sectors including industrials, automotive, TMT, healthcare, retail, consumer, energy and many other “generalist” industries. The client has several offices and investment teams across Europe and now seek to add a senior investment professional to their new offices in Poland where you will be responsible for generating investment opportunities within the Polish and surrounding CEE region.
The role:
Your role will involve the whole cycle range of analysis and identification of investment targets as well as deal closing and management of the portfolio companies and eventual exits. You will also be involved in the management and coaching of more junior team members.
Typical Responsibilities:
- originating investment opportunities
- conducting relevant research, analysis and due diligence on investment markets and potential targets
- developing acquisition and growth strategies
- modelling and structuring of investments
- supervising and coaching more junior team members
- on-going management of the funds portfolio companies; monitoring investments, supporting growth strategies
- Preparing and completing exits.
A very attractive salary package will be offered to the right profile, which includes a carry.
Your profile (approximately 10 - 15 years working experience):
The ideal profile for the candidate will be highly well connected with SMEs companies within the Polish/CEE region. The candidate will have consistently performed above peers throughout their academic and working career and have a keen interest, passion and natural flare for investing. You will have a combination of relevant working experience in leading institutions in the following areas: top tier strategy consulting or investment banking experience + experience working with a leading corporate or within the industry (e.g. corporate strategy, corporate planning, corporate MA, operational management, people management etc.) or you may already been an established private equity investor within the Polish/CEE region. Your previous working experience should be within the more generalist industry sectors such as industrials, automotive, TMT, healthcare, retail, consumer, energy or other similar “generalist” industry. This is a Polish coverage role, it is essential that you are highly fluent in Polish.
Key Skills needed:
- Approximately 10 – 15 years of working experience within reputable firms in one or more of the following industries: strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, business development, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, MA or similar function
- Well connected with Medium sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Polish and CEE region
- High level of business fluency within Polish and English
- Top tier academics
- Strong interest, passion and natural ability for investing
