Investment Executive, Africa Funds Team recruitment

We are looking for an investment executive to join our Africa fund-of-funds team, a role which will encompass the following responsibilities:

- Monitoring the financial performance and development impact of investee funds and their compliance with CDC’s investment policy

- Providing a second pair of eyes in analysing and completing new proposals to invest in African funds

-   Reviewing all aspects of fund commitment agreements

- Taking a pro-active approach to identify problems of under-performance and/or non-compliance at fund manager level

- Assist in monitoring the development impact of each investee fund

- Keep deal flow, deal management and portfolio monitoring databases up to date for all funds on which you are a team member

- Maintain up-to-date market knowledge

- Assist in preparing presentations to support CDC’s brand building with stakeholders

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

-  Private equity fund management and/or fund-of-funds management experience

-  Financial modelling and analysis skills

- At least four years business experience in an international environment, including a track record of working in emerging market finance.

- Strong academic credentials, preferably including a post-graduate qualification such as CFA, ACA, IMC, MBA or equivalent. 

- Detailed working knowledge of, and an active interest in, investing in developing countries

- Demonstrable alignment with CDC mandate, mission and values.
