Investment Fund Associate recruitment
A rapidly growing Philadelphia-based alternative asset management firm is seeking a full-time Associate for an immediate start. As the primary employees responsible for the “hands-on” execution of all activities and initiatives, Associates serve a vital role in the success of their funds and, ultimately, the firm as a whole. While the Associates work under the direction of senior management, they are expected to manage projects and processes independently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks and error-free continuity of all processes. As the Associate will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities (from investment / portfolio analysis to aiding in the creation of marketing materials and the preparation of the fund’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission), versatility, a high level of intellect and excellent time management skills are required. Associates will be supported by the firm’s Analyst pool and other staff members in fulfilling their duties. This is a career-track opportunity with significant prospects for advancement based on performance.
Given the need to interface with senior staff members and subordinates in an accurate and thorough manner, the position requires strong written and verbal communications skills. The candidate is expected to possess a high degree of financial markets acumen, exceptional Microsoft Office skills and a demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
1.An outstanding academic record and degree from a top undergraduate institution (economics, accounting, or finance background preferred).
2.A minimum of three years total work experience in investment banking, real estate, private equity, leveraged finance, commercial banking, asset management or as a corporate financial analyst.
3.Established proficiencies in spreadsheet programs such as Mircrosoft Excel.
4.A solid understanding of the capital markets, accounting, financial analysis, and asset valuation.
5.The ability to handle responsibility and a commitment to producing thorough, quality work product (at times within tight time frames).
6.Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation will be market competitive and will include a base salary with a performance-based bonus.
