Investment Manager, Asset Backed Securities recruitment
Your department and challenge
The primary focus of the team is to manage a portfolio of almost EUR 9 bn of Asset Backed Securities investments on behalf of a variety of in-house and third party clients. The objective of the team is to optimise the portfolio, not only from a risk-return perspective, but also in the context of the specific requirements of the client-base.
The team is made up of experienced professionals, who have operated in a variety of markets in The Netherlands, the US, and the UK, developing complementary expertise over the course of their respective careers.
The challenge would be for you to bring something extra to the table.
Your main responsibilities
• Interact with the market on a daily basis in order to identify, select, and analyse investment opportunities drawn from across the European Asset Backed Securities market.
• Implement the resulting trades direct with the market
• Strong market knowledge and relationships provide opportunities re a value-added approach to trading. Specialist knowledge is a key element in price negotiation
• Take responsibility for the on-going performance of specific sectors within the overall portfolio
• Participate fully in the development of the team’s underlying investment philosophy and strategic approach, as well as the tactical implementation of the resulting investment views
• Contribute to product development initiatives, support IT projects, liaise with Risk, Legal and Accounting where necessary.
Your experience and skills
• Strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to formulate and communicate views
• Experience within the global credit markets, especially Asset Backed Securities
• A track record in investing in the Asset Backed Securities market in Europe would be an advantage
• Understanding of relevant market dynamics
• A sophisticated, yet assertive, approach toward the market – a trusted partner
• Dedicated and results-oriented
• Team player
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• University Degree
• CFA, or other equivalent professional qualification
