Investment Manager Services Operation Associate recruitment
Reporting duties
- Prepare and meet scheduled reporting deliverables for the funds under our care such as portfolio valuations, statements of accounts, schedule of income, customized reports etc by the client deadlines
- Preparation of daily cash forecast reports for the fund managers
- 1st level making and review of client reports before they are sent to the client
- Reconciliation of cash and stock on 2nd level
- Investigate and follow up on outstanding settlement and reporting issues by liaising with local colleagues, external parties (ie, custodians and brokers) and colleagues at overseas operations centers
- Manual adjustments for cash/accrual entries
- Escalate issues to manager when appropriate
- Pro-actively flag out process gaps and identify potential areas for process improvement
- Assist manager with business control issues (BCP, self testing, reviews etc)
- Additional responsibilities include project participation, coordination of testing requirements, documentation of test results, and regular departmental process assessments
Skills required
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills, with awareness and focus on client service.Able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, internal parties and custodians
- Previous client reporting experience would be beneficial
- Team player
- Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities with good time management skills
- Deadline and detail oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities and support change initiatives
- Exposure to metric reporting, KRI’s etc would be helpful
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Banking finance, Accountancy
- Strong IT competency in particular Microsoft Excel and Access
- PAM / RKS knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Minimum 1-2 years working experience in fund accounting or securities related industry
