INVESTMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER recruitment
Reporting to the wrap operations director, the Investment Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Investment Operations team, ensuring the delivery of the administration service for the Company wrap platform and operational oversight of the Company’s SIPP and ISA Plan Manager provision.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing Relationships:
- Manage the relationship with asset managers and providers ensuring expectations are met and standards of service are adhered to.
- Work closely with the business development and legal team to ensure new relationships are introduced in a timely and compliant manner.
- Work closely with the client relations team and the risk and compliance manager ensuring query resolutions are met within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with the IFA account managers, where and when applicable.
- Work closely with Middle Office, where and when applicable.
- Managing Process and Administration:
- Manage all relationship aspects for asset managers and DFM’s on the platform.
- Maintain fund manager agreements identifying investment opportunities.
- Manage and monitor asset allocation and new fund manager set-up attending meetings when required.
- Provide approval for assets acceptability within the Company permission product wrappers.
- Maintain DFM agreements.
- Oversee the Pension and ISA wrapper provision and administration.
- Introduce new applications or improved services to the current proposition.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of fund groups against their peers.
- Attend and provide MI to management meetings reporting any deviations to SLAs, further contributing to the quarterly strategy board on new investment initiatives.
- Handle escalated issues and complaints arising from the client relations team and JIRA including trading,settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations, distributions, rebates.
- Ensure JIRA queries are responded to within the agreed timescales.
- Managing People:
- Lead internal team members where appropriate to execute all operational activities.
- Plan and schedules workload for team and projects.
- Carry out training and encourages and drives quality and continuous improvement of processes across team.
- Carry out staff performance reviews identifying staff development and training needs and devise development programs.
- Manage team holidays and expenses.
- Maintaining Operational and Company Standards:

Core Requirements:
- Strong background in investment operations with experience of the IFA sector / fund management or wrap sector.
- Strong knowledge of Pensions and ISA Plan Manager provision.
- Knowledge of the various assets and operational procedures.
- Experience in strategic planning and application.
- Proficient in the use of excel skills, word and outlook.
- Excellent staff management experience with ability to delegate effectively.
