Investment Portfolio Manager
BBN Portfolio Solutions is a joint strategic alliance formed with Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. (MBS) and Bankers' Bank Northeast (BBN). Under this networking agreement, BBN is seeking an Investment Portfolio Manager. The Investment Portfolio Manager will promote and sell fixed-income investment products for BBN's existing client base, as well as market and sell to new client prospects. MBS underwrites wholesale deposits for depository institutions, operates its own bond-trading desk, and offers its customers an online platform called eConnectDirect to access, navigate, and transact investment options with ease and convenience. BBN and MBS are seeking a highly-motivated sales professional to open and manage institutional accounts with credit unions and banks. This position is ideal for a relationship-driven individual who has proven sales and customer service skills and is seeking opportunities in a rapidly growing firm. New England and New York territories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accepts and conforms to the terms of the Bankers' Bank Northeast and Multi Bank Securities Mutual-Employment Broker Agreement, executed between the Investment Portfolio Relationship Manager, Bankers' Bank Northeast and Multi-Bank Securities.
- Establishes and maintains an effective professional working relationship with the Bank's institutional prospects and existing clients throughout New England and New York by maintaining ongoing interaction (cold calls, networking, referrals, site visits, phone calls).
- Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with BBN's existing client base of CFOs to effectively identify investment portfolio needs and to present solutions offered through BBN Portfolio Solutions.
- Promotes and sells fixed-income products, MBS services, and MBS' proprietary, web-based applications (eConnectDirect).
- Prepares and presents service proposals that identify the benefits and features of BBN's Portfolio Solutions.
- Closes new sales of the various services offered and meets assigned sales goals.
- Assists CFOs in the daily surveillance of institutional fixed income accounts, appropriately communicating key activity relative to account investment guidelines and parameters, and executing trades including corporate, municipal, U.S. Treasury, agency, certificate of deposit and mortgage backed securities.
- Calls on prospect and client financial institutions that are located throughout the Northeast.
- Participates in a group work environment to promote sales growth and product-service development.
- Interacts as a seamless interface between the MBS trading team and various internal and external team members.
- Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures and requirements of Multi Bank Securities and Bankers' Bank Northeast.
- Develops a general understanding of how the Bank's products and services satisfy the needs of its clients and identifies referral opportunities for BBN Relationship Managers.
- Maintains and delivers superior levels of customer support and service as established and identified within the Bank's strategic goals and objectives.
- Prepares, updates, and documents all interaction with clients and prospects (i.e., call reports, phone logs, email correspondence, etc.) using the Bank's customer relationship management software.
- Assists executive management in projects or other activities as assigned.
- Performs other related duties in support of the Banks objectives, policies, and procedures including BSA, AML and OFAC responsibilities associated with this position.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years sales and industry experience.
- FINRA Series 7 63 license required.
- General understanding and experience in the fixed income markets.
- Proven ability to capture new business and develop strong working relationships with a diverse range of clientele.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Self-motivated and possess the ability to exhibit professionalism and confidence during phone calls, as well as face-to-face meetings. Comfortable interacting with and taking direction from C-level investment professionals.
- Rigorous attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Able to multi-task in a high pressure environment.
- Strong analytical and computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Perform, and Bloomberg.
- Prior business development and sales experience, strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
