Investment Professional Private Debt recruitment
In this position you will be responsible for assessing, executing and monitoring private debt transactions. Your tasks will include:
- Pro-active sourcing of direct and secondary private debt (mezzanine and senior debt) investment opportunities from your network, GPs and other industry contacts
- Perform quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective private debt investments
- Presenting investment opportunities to the investment committee
- Initiate and participate in calls and visits with current and prospective investment managers
- Actively contribute to marketing and fundraising efforts and existing client relationship management
- Conduct various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts
For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:
- Top academic credentials (Master/MBA/CFA preferred), with a coursework emphasis on Business Strategy, Accounting, Finance and/or Mathematics
- 3-5 years of work experience in the private leveraged finance market with a leading player focusing on Australia, New Zealand and advanced Asian economies
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills and a strong desire to learn and succeed
- Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (modeling skills required) and the ability to conduct research
- Able to demonstrate high initiative and personal accountability, be a strong team player and enjoy contributing in a cooperative and entrepreneurial environment.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, ideas and processes. Be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative
- Able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multi-task
- Strong work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance, unquestionable integrity
