Investment Professional - Group Strategy
Principal Investments Acquisitions, as part of the Group Strategy division, is responsible for managing Swiss Re's existing portfolio of direct private equity investments with additional responsibility for the Swiss Re Group's corporate development and MA mandates. A global team of experienced investment professionals monitors the existing portfolio, makes new investments, sells existing positions and executes corporate development transactions on behalf of the Group and its various business units.
The opportunity
We are seeking an Associate level Investment Professional to join our team supporting senior team members while also taking responsibility for additional tasks and responsibilities such as
- Perform general market research on targets in the EMEA region to identify attractive investment themes
- Analyze specific investment opportunities with team members and prepare proposals, including financial modelling, valuation, comparable company analysis
- Participate in due diligence and execution of private equity investments and corporate development projects, including interaction with external advisors and coordination with internal functions
- Support monitoring of the existing portfolio, including preparation of weekly material and quarterly reports
- Develop network within the private equity community, financial advisors, and Swiss Re
About you
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (CFA, CAIA a plus) with 2-3 years professional experience in banking, valuation, financial modeling ideally in an Insurance or financial services company. You have excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills in English with additional language ideally German a strong advantage. Advanced Excel modeling, Word and PowerPoint knowledge is expected. You will have previous exposure to project management with an ability to work proactively on multiple projects, with an ability to analyse information and formulate responses. Ability to display analytical rigour, reliability, accuracy and attention to detail is required.
