Investment Reporting & Financial Analysis Manager
Change Recruitment Group's client, a leading financial institution, is in the initial stages of short listing for an Investment Reporting and Financial Analysis Manager to work within their team. The successful individual will support the relationship with fund managers, work to monitor fund performance, develop existing fund mandates and strengthen the governance framework. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work within a front facing environment with a diverse remit and role responsibilities.
Responsibilities of the Investment Reporting and Financial Analysis Manager:
- Monitor, review and report on the performance and attribution of in-scope funds against appropriate benchmarks and targets. Ensure that data and commentary from the fund manager is validated against external sources
- Monitor, review and report on non-standard assets introduced and the implications for the broader funds that invest in these assets
- Manage fund mandates and introduce changes whether in respect of issues identified in the management of these funds or enhancements to how the fund is run
- Work on fund developments, regulatory developments and other initiatives with the fund manager
- Track market and regulatory developments with a view to ensuring that good practice is reflected in our fund manager relationships
- Support the broader portfolio of investment projects and activities, based on scope agreed with senior management.
Background of the Investment Reporting and Financial Analysis Manager:
- Analytical mindset and proven ability working within a working analytical capacity
- Experience working directly within or directly alongside the front office
- Solid fund knowledge and an understanding of the purpose and workings of a fund mandate
- Experience working directly within fund management, the front office or within investment consulting highly beneficial
- An IMC is highly desirable as the successful candidate will also be expected to work towards and complete the CFA
