Investment Risk Manager recruitment
We are working on an excellent opportunity for a leading global Investment Company based in Edinburgh. They currently have a great opportunity for an experience Investment Risk Manager to join one of their teams which aims to ensure the various investment teams are operating within consistent constraints and risk tolerances.
The successful applicant will support the team in the provision or risk management services to Investment Managers. You will be responsible for the generation and the use of critical management information arising from investment activity across equity, fixed income, and property asset classes.
You will make monitor investment strategies to ensure they are consistent with objectives and regulations as well as conducting portfolio, scenario and back testing of risk models. You will perform risk calculations for internal and external customers and will be required to present risk and quantitative information to clients, consultants and the wider business.
Experience/Knowledge required?
- At least an undergraduate degree qualified in mathematical discipline
- Advanced Excel and Visual basic programming
- Investment risk modelling experience
- Strong understanding of derivative instruments
- Knowledge of portfolio and financial theory
- Knowledge of mathematical and statistical techniques.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Datastream and Factset
