Investment Risk Officer / City / Perm / £50-70k
My client, a leading Investment Fund Administrator is looking for a talented Investment Risk Officer with a strong understanding of investment, performance and liquidity risk to join a dynamic, forward looking organisation.
You will be responsible for assessing investment risk procedures and how they fit with investment objectives. You will be required to examine and increase awareness of the use of derivatives for investment and portfolio management as well as producing management information to be presented to the Board and Risk Committees.
You will be required to discuss and resolve investment risk breaches and assist in the presentation of risk reports on a wide range of risk issues (predominantly covering liquidity, performance and market risk) to senior stakeholders within the business.
Assistance will also be requied in he resolution of VaR queries and Indepenent Pricing of some complex derivatives.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding academic pedigree in a quantitative discipline and a solid understanding of derivatives valuation and risk management techniques. He/She will have some understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and an excellent grasp of market, performance and liquidity risk.
