Within the Funds Management Group (FMG) we pride ourselves on working closely with clients to build relationships and help develop solutions to meet their investment goals. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple constituencies as a key resource for Wells Fargo. The candidate will be results-oriented and have a combination of strong analytics, relationship skills, and the ability to identify and leverage information to position our Open End Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Institutional Separate Accounts, DCIO platforms and Off Shore Mutual Funds to our key sponsor partners. This individual will use his/ her strong analytics, product development and sales expertise to identify our client's needs through sales presentations and regular meetings. The candidate will fulfill Wells Fargos mission by demonstrating the following aptitudes: In-depth knowledge of Wells Fargo investment products and ability to effectively communicate quantitative and qualitative aspects of investment process, philosophy, people and performance. In-depth knowledge of leading competitors products in the industry and ability to effectively compare, contrast and communicate similarities and differences in investment process, philosophy, people and performance expectations Deep understanding of capital markets and modern portfolio theory; superior grasp of investment strategies, industry/market knowledge and competitive landscape Excellent judgment relative to communicating appropriate information to sponsor due diligence analysts Exceptional quantitative analytical skills; strong ability to synthesize large amounts of data information Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, especially phone and email Outstanding partnering and interpersonal skills Ability to persuade and influence others; gains credibility quickly with multiple audiences Must be proactive and take prompt action to accomplish objectives; Possesses organizational sensitivity and emotional intelligence; self-aware of and manages own emotions; understands the impact of emotions on others Creates and maintains long-term strategic trusting relationships with clients, both internal and external Excellent time management skills; includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing large amounts of data information Maintains integrity in all transactions; follows up and keeps promises; maintains the highest ethical standards Demonstrates independent thought, and also able to work as part of a larger team Innovative, creative decision maker and thought leader Continuously learns and stays current in areas of expertise; possesses intellectual curiosity. This position covers a National Territory and can work from home or in a Wells Fargo office. Basic Qualifications: 8+ year's mutual fund marketing or sales experience required. FINRA licenses 7, 63 and 65 required. CFA charter holder required. Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated record of driving for results, applying a sense of urgency and bringing issues to closure in a timely manner with attention to detail despite obstacles and opposition. Successful record of working in a team environment, across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important. Ability to synthesize, organize and evaluate data in support of core business analytics and special requests. Multi-tasking and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills. Experience as a money manager, research analyst, product specialist or consultant relations preferred. 10+ years relevant financial industry experience. Experience as a Manager Research Analyst (SMA or Mutual Fund)/ Product Specialist/ Institutional Sales. Comprehensive knowledge of retirement recordkeeping business models and defined contribution marketplace strongly preferred. Demonstrated record of driving for results, applying a sense of urgency and bringing issues to closure in a timely manner despite obstacles and opposition. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with database software and applications. Highly organized, motivated and team player that can take direction from others and provide direction to others Willing to travel 60%+, primarily to sponsor home office locations. FINRA licenses required (Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66)
