Job Purpose/Background:
We seek an Investment Strategist to join the Global Market Strategies Group in London. This Group is responsible for managing global macro hedge funds and related strategies that have a long track record and strong client followings.
This experienced professional will join an established team responsible for building and maintaining client relationships across a suite of global macro hedge funds. The Strategist plays a leading role in developing and delivering investment and market communications, responding to client enquiries, driving the sales process and formulating product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with researchers and portfolio managers in GMSG to cultivate a deep understanding of our investment approach, portfolios and results in order to represent all facets of the product internally and externally.
- Develop and deliver investment, market and business communications to existing and prospective clients.
- Respond to and handle enquiries of all kinds from clients and prospects.
- Educate and support internal distribution channels on our products.
- Support the distribution effort and make presentations to end-clients and consultants. Travel is required, primarily within the UK Europe.
- Engage and participate actively in the internal investment dialogue and contribute ideas to the research and portfolio management teams. Identify and develop new products and product variations.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of business and product strategy.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive experience in investments (preferably multi-asset and/or global markets), including proven experience as an investment strategist, product specialist or portfolio manager.
- Clear articulation about the drivers of global markets (equities, fixed income, currency, commodities) and the various financial instrument types.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with institutional clients and prospects.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Finance or Economics.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Highly Numerate.
- CFA advantageous.
