Investment Strategist recruitment
Role Objective/Responsibilities:
Our client is a leading pensions/fund manager, managing assets for pension schemes and other institutional investors alike.
The role of Investment Strategist will be directly responsible for advising on and supervising the implementation of investments for a number of UK.
For example:
- Developing and maintaining the investment strategy toolkit.
- Formulating investment strategy advice and participating in all client discussions concerning investment strategy, asset allocation, etc.
- Overseeing the implementation of investment strategy.
- Reporting to the client, such as in the form of commentaries on transactions, macro development etc.
- Supporting business development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong quantitative skills
- Modelling of UK pension liabilities.
- Liability matching strategies.
- (Stochastic) asset and liability modelling.
- Derivatives pricing and structuring.
- Asset allocation and portfolio construction.
- Performance and risk measurement and attribution.
- Strong programming skills using tools such as Excel and MATLAB.
- A university degree in quantitative sciences, mathematics or another relevant discipline.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA or IFA).
- A proven capability to be creative and innovative.
- A strong sense of responsibility and high standards of personal integrity.
- Strong communication skills.
- Confident and articulate presenter.
- Experience presenting complex investment ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to write clear investment memo’s and articles.
