Investment Writer / Investment Comms Executive

Role Responsibilities

• To communicate global investment views across the retail, intermediary and institutional client base, across the full product suite

• Production of timely and insightful written and video investment updates for distribution in the event of significant market events

• Provision of rapid and accurate responses to investment queries received from sales and marketing

• Working closely with front office Investment Team as required

• Production of compelling sales and corporate materials including brochures, pitch books, promotional e-mails, articles and white papers in support of sales and strategic objectives.

• In London, this includes responsibility for the origination and periodic updating of a range of standard sales materials, including regional capability brochures, fund brochures, institutional quarterly updates, fund manager profiles, e-Briefs, as well as pitch books and brochures around new launches. It also includes oversight of placed articles produced within the firm or by their PR agency.

• Internationally, it includes working closely with regional marketing teams to assist them in the development of materials suitable for local markets, and oversight of the same to ensure alignment with sales targets and strategic goals.

• Contributing to the ongoing development of the Client’s social media presence in public

• Responsibility for assisting with the formulation of responses to the more complex investment queries with the aim of producing a fast response for the sales, client service or RFP teams, while making more efficient use of investment time.

• Priority to be given to key strategic products, investment teams under particular time pressure

Background Experience

• This is a fast-paced, professional and wide-ranging role which requires a self-starting, organised and focused person able to work accurately at pace as part of a tightly knit team

• A good level of market knowledge and understanding coupled with analytical skills, strong people skills to build a relationship with investment, sales and marketing, and outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken, to deliver/present the message to a varied client base.

• The role would be ideal for someone who a strong interest in financial markets, what is happening in the global economy and how that translates into portfolio changes

• Technical proficiency with Powerpoint and Excel as well as Word is required, and familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Datastream, Morningstar and Bloomberg would be an advantage.
