About the Job:

Provide high quality written communications to a variety of target audiences. The team creates content for a wide range of media, including client reports, marketing literature, factsheets, market commentaries, SWIP.com and press articles.

The role requires the ability to convey SWIP's investment messages to existing clients, potential clients and internal users. As such, the candidate must be able to write confidently about investment issues in an appropriate tone of voice.

This is a wide and varied role that requires specialist investment knowledge and an element of creative flair.

Accountabilities:

* Work with each business area to ensure we are generating market-leading communication to clients and intermediaries - both in terms of quality and timeliness of output.
* Support the writing of sales aids and product literature in conjunction with other marketing team members.
* Produce regular commentaries on markets.
* Write client reports outlining fund performance using performance attribution, market knowledge and fund manager input
* Liaise with fund managers and attend policy briefings to find relevant background information.
* Research and write press articles on behalf of senior members of staff to enable us to build the company's brand. Ensure the press articles are well targeted towards the particular audience and are integrated with overall marketing campaigns.
* Respond to ad hoc requests from all parts of the business efficiently and effectively.
* Keep up to date on all investment market and product knowledge
* Build and maintain relationships with key business areas.
* Implement and promote the team's writing style guidelines
* Promote the writing team function across the company to demonstrate the high quality of the service offered and how the team adds value to the business.
* Be proactive in the generation of ideas and provide innovative ways of using existing content.

What Skills/Experience you will need?

* Good understanding of financial markets and investment products
* Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to deliver content on time while working under pressure
* Editing
* Proofreading
* Communication skills including listening and questioning techniques
* IMC or the desire/ability to study towards it
* Ability to adopt a different and relevant tone of voice to each specific audience
* Self motivating and happy to act on own initiative
* Self-confident and able to build strong working relationships at all levels of the business
