Our client, leading investment company is now seeking an Investment Servicing Administration Officer to join their office on a permanent basis. The role will be based in the Edinburgh office
The successful candidate will be responsible for most aspects of operations, back-office and administrative components of the Portfolio Investment Management (PIM) team.
The role will form part of a busy team and so the successful candidate will be required to hit the ground running with minimal 'handholding'.
Core Responsibilities:
- On-going administration and management of operational aspects of debt positions and associated contracts for both bi-laterals and syndicates loan positions (including swap positions, if applicable);
- Ensuring original transaction related documents received, stored, documented and updated on the company’s centralised system (company’s internal platform based on eFront software), company’s PIM folder structure and process on-going information received;
- Administering and maintaining the centralised information flow on the portfolio of all investments positions of the organisation;
- Calculation and initial set up and on-going management of fees, interest and principal repayments and setting of interest rates;
- Daily processing of drawdowns, transacting loan rollovers, repayments, prepayments and rate fixings;
- Coordinating processing of payments and income with the firm’s Finance team;
- Ensuring receipt of income streams from borrowers/counterparties and payments by the company;
- Producing associated standardised notices to borrowers/clients/counterparties;
- Overseeing cash flow models in order to monitor the firm’s loans positions;
- Operational reporting, monitoring of financial performance and covenants reporting;
- Liquidity management (assisting in short-term cash flow forecast and management);
- Monitoring and processing transaction documentation compliance (incl. on fees / costs / expenses /covenants / schedules of reports and payments);
- Assisting in process improvement projects and implementation of simplified processes, systems and procedures (given the early stage of the firm’s development), and running small projects w/ software consultants for implementation of upgrades to current systems and processes;
- Implementing and maintaining the PIM servicing and administration diary program;
- If applicable: administration of swap contracts and obligations, daily swaps valuation, daily position and market value reconciliations.

Core Requirements:
Essential:
- A relevant University degree
- A minimum of 3-5 years relevant working knowledge and experience gained in operations and debt administration functions in commercial/investment banks or funds and, in particular, project finance debt environment
- In-depth structured finance and project finance documentation experience
- Specific experience of administering new lending facilities to include drawdowns, rollovers and rate fixings
- Good understanding and fundamentals of accounting principles
- Strong experience in MS Windows applications, specifically EXCEL
- Good EXCEL-based financial modelling skills and familiarity with Project Finance models
- Strong knowledge and experience with banks’ portfolio IT working systems (Bloomberg and in addition, for example, eFront or LoanIQ)
