Investor Relations Associate – Private Equity recruitment

An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join the Investor Relations team in London to assist the global capital raising efforts, with an emphasis on Europe.

The appointed candidate will play a crucial role working closely with a number of experienced professionals including the relationship managers, different investment team executives, members of the senior management team and other internal functions.

Responsibilities would include creating and developing marketing materials and pitch books, dealing with client due diligence queries/requests, planning and coordinating investor meetings and marketing events, managing the investor database as well as working on specific fundraising-related projects as a project manager. This role offers the possibility of a long term career in Investor Relations in a global investment firm.

The candidate should have 2-4 years relevant experience and a demonstrated distinctive track record vs. peer group. First class academics, strong business sense and general understanding of private equity. Outstanding relationship skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. The individual should have a strong presence, a bias to action and good organizational skills (e.g. extremely efficient, ability to multi-task and set priorities). High level of proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel is essential. Candidates must be fluent in English and ideally at least one other European language

Highly motivated candidates from a variety of backgrounds could be considered for this role including corporate IR, financial PR or client service. However, I am particularly interested in hearing from individuals already working in the private equity sector (fund placement, IR or fund of funds) or who have a debt/equity capital markets background. The successful applicant will be a top performer within their chosen field and only the highest calibre applicants will be considered.
