Business Unit Overview: BlackRock Private Equity Partners is the private equity fund of funds group at BlackRock. Private Equity Partners has offices in Princeton, NJ, London and Durham, NC. with total AUM of $6.4 billion across a range of commingled funds and separate accounts. This position is with Private Equity Partners’ Investor Relations team in London.
Role Overview: BlackRock Private Equity Partners is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in working in a fast-paced, fluid environment as a member of a closely knit team. The role requires developing a broad understanding of Private Equity Partners’ business and investments while also paying attention to detail in producing marketing and other materials. Over time, the role will increasingly include client-facing activities.
Responsibilities: Participate in general client service activities including:
- Answer LP inquiries
- Edit and review RFPs
- Assist in annual LP event planning
- Preparing and, over time, conducting client portfolio reviews
Implement quarterly performance updates across marketing materials, including:
- Client / product presentations
- Fact sheets
- Team-related materials
- Performance data analysis and benchmarking
- Review quarterly data packs for accuracy and formatting
- Support market research and provide updates in presentations and quarterly investment reports
Support fund raising activities
- Track and distribute offering materials
- Help organize road shows across client channels
- Help prepare customized presentations
- Work closely with senior IR professionals to ensure meeting follow-ups are completed
Assist with special projects
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a private Equity Function
- Previous experience drafting and assisting with finance negotiations

Drafting and revising offtake agreements and concession agreements

Previous experience in financial services

Degree educated
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in English and at least one, preferably two other major European languages
- Full proficiency in PowerPoint, strong Excel skills
- Bachelor degree with relevant financial services industry experience
- Strong interest in the private equity market
- an understanding of the private placement and fundraising process with institutions and individual investors
- The ideal candidate should be self-directed and feel comfortable asking questions and taking the initiative to get projects completed accurately and on time.
- A strong client service focus is important as this position will communicate directly with sales teams, consultants and clients, in person, via phone and email on a regular basis.
