ION AnviL (arts) Team Lead

This Job Profile is for a Team Lead of the ARTS Team, part of Client Trading and Money Market Systems, ISD. The sole vendor platform used is Anvil Classic (originally the Anvil Repo Trading System) provided by ION Trading Ltd. However alongside this platform there are a number of associated interfaces which have been developed and are maintained in-house. These include applications for ticketing, reporting and external 3rd Party integration.

As a Team Leader the job holder can expect to be involved all aspects of business analysis and resource management to maintain the production platform and seamlessly integrate any projects/work items that impact it.

The Job Holder will have direct line management responsibility for a team of 4 people who provide support and maintenance activities for the Anvil platform. Furthermore, although the job does not entail the direct control of a budget, the job holder will be expected to provide input for decisions around committing financial and human resources to projects or initiatives.

This role involves the management of the production Anvil platform. This encompasses not only support but also the small work items and maintenance tasks that are necessary to maintain the platform up to date and stable.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Day-to-day management of the ARTS team, which is currently made up of the following resources, however, it is seen that this could fluctuate based on projects and initiatives:
o Business Analysts x 2
o Developers x 2
• Day-to-day management of the ARTS team, including:
o resource assignment and workload management
o monitoring performance to ensure delivery of good quality service
o measuring progress
o communication of progress and issues to the business
o ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures.
• Line management of staff in the ARTS Team including:
o performance management
o continuous coaching
o compensation reviews
o team selection and development.
• Performing a Management function for the Anvil Application and associated custom built applications and interfaces including:
o To discuss issues and problems with users and ensure a deep understanding of the business needs, the related products and transaction flows
o Testing of new versions of software, conducting test plans, analysing results and drawing conclusions with the user representatives
o Scope reports, customisations and tools for business users
o Provide support to existing systems to resolve problems and continually improve the functionality and service levels to the business
o Manage the level of service with the Vendor related to ongoing support and enhancements
o Maintain the system to a level of compliance with the bank and external agency requirements.
