iPlanner/iConference Technology – Development Manager recruitment
We are looking for a Development Manager to join iPlanner/iConference team which is responsible for the development and enhancement of the suite of Ipreo’s event management solutions including a global meeting and travel logistics planning application for deal and non-deal roadshows (iPlanner) and a conference management system that facilitates execution of larger marketing events (iConference). This suite of products integrates seamlessly with Ipreo's BD Vision CRM, and Equity Fixed Income Bookbuilding systems.
The Development Manager will be overseeing technical leads and software developers in an application development team. In addition, the Development Manager will be advising and partnering with our business leaders to create exceptional financial services applications.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Providing hands-on technical leadership
- Managing technical team leaders
- Mentoring and leadership over high performing engineering staff
- Partnering with business managers and analysts to deliver transactional solutions to tier 1 global brokerage houses
- Bringing best practice expertise and prescriptive guidance to local and remote development efforts
- Managing risk and realizing commercial opportunity at all stages in the design/delivery process.
- Planning and executing projects with defined scope, quality and budgets.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in the development preferably in Microsoft technologies
- Experience managing full life-cycle software development projects
- 3+ years of management experience
- BA/ BS degree or equivalent work experience in related field
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, both in functional requirements and non-functional requirements
- Expertise in all areas of technical design and delivery including object modeling, framework creation, quality processes, load testing and secure practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams of 10-40
- Candidate should have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent listening skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with C-level executives internally and externally
- Experience working with enterprise, mission critical transactional applications
Preferred Skills:
- Financial services industry experience, equity capital markets preferred
- Management of offshore resources and/or teams in multiple locations
- Microsoft (.NET) background
