Overview
Global Valuation Group (GVG) is a specialist finance control function responsible for daily and month end valuation control processes for Global Markets (GM). This includes price testing production, analysis and reporting, model calibration and verification of reserves.
The Credit Independent Price Verification (IPV) team is responsible for the Global Credit (GC) businesses and has teams of valuation specialists in London, New York and Singapore plus dedicated production staff in Mumbai. The London team is primarily responsible for the EMEA region but also has a Global responsibility; particularly for reporting results and issues to global business heads.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- GC valuation adjustments reserving consolidation and analysis
- GC Price testing results consolidation and analysis
- Report generation for Senior finance and Front office business heads
- Issue investigation, analysis reporting
- Ad hoc projects
Within this role you will be given a broad overview of the price testing control function, as well as exposure to the credit derivative and bond markets, providing a good understanding of how the business (and business lines within GC) operate.
Candidate requirements
You will have:
- Relevant experience in Finance/Control function within a major investment bank
- A working knowledge of IFRS especially fair value accounting
- A solid grounding in bonds and credit derivative products
- Strong Excel Access skills as a minimum - Advanced/VBA preferred
- Proven track record of achievement and a desire to develop a credit specific skill set
You will be:
- Mathematics Degree qualified or equivalent
- A Qualified Accountant or equivalent
