IPV Emerging Markets VP recruitment
The team is heavily Front Office facing and covers a broad range of products, mainly within Vanilla and Exotic Rates, FX and Credit. Rather than micro-manage the team, the candidate is to represent the area with the Front Office and will therefore be working on a number of Project, Change and Strategic issues. It is for that reason that the individual is to constantly work very closely with Senior members of the Front Office (head traders, structuring, business managers etc) and senior management (directors) who will encourage you to challenge existing practices and implement your own ideas.
The Change Management aspect of the role is key as you are to continually look for ways to support the business in a cost efficient manner, have a major input in ensuring Change programmes deliver strategic, scalable, value added solutions to support Product Control in the long term and you are also expected to support high level strategic projects when necessary.
You are to head up a specialist team and for that reason, the client requires somebody from a very strong academic background (Maths/Science) that has previously been exposed to a number of derivative products. Furthermore, you would have originally come from a Product Control background, or be a qualified Accountant and thus have a strong knowledge/appreciation of the Balance Sheet. Most importantly, you will currently be in a high level IPV/Valuations role within a major Financial Institution.
Progression opportunities are varied from such a position, mainly Front Office focused unless the individual was to work towards a Director level IPV or Change Management role. Such a high profile opportunity is backed up by a strong package.
