IS Desktop Support Analyst
This position is responsible for installing, upgrading, and supporting software, hardware, barcode scanners, mobile computers, wireless LAN's, and RFID systems. Recommends and schedules repairs. Communicates with various support, application development teams, and end users. Develops and supports all reporting tools. Maintains and develops scripts, troubleshoots issues, and coordinates roll-outs. Conduct analysis and implement enhancements in response to help desk tickets. Provides timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommends solutions for system issues
- Interacts with support, application, development teams and end users to resolve technology issues.
- Coordinates project tasks as assigned working with various application, systems, and helpdesk groups.
- Takes a proactive role in isolating potential systems problems and is considered proficient in the use of monitoring tools and software.
- Performs service administrative responsibilities and adhere to established manufacturer warranty procedures as well as company policies and procedures.
- Understands system architecture and infrastructure environments to facilitate resolution of technical issues.
- Supports department in planning and implementing back-ups, disaster recovery, and security actions.
- Assess and implement new hardware and software.
- Provide project status and closeout reports to management.
- Develops and maintains script tools, batch files, and testing equipment.
- Provide after hours support as required.

Required
- Experience with WMS and Supply Chain Software (Manhattan)
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot barcode scanners, mobile computers, wireless LAN's, and RFID systems.
- Knowledge of Inventory Management and Logistics
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
- Must be capable of working with little or no direct supervision.
- Displays willingness to accept responsibility, display initiative, good judgment and a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science (or related field).
- Candidate has 0-3 years experience that includes performing analytical tasks.
