IS Manager
For our Client – Global FMCG Leader - we are looking for candidates for the post of:
IS Manager Poznań/Swarzędz
Purpose
Providing Information Systems strategy, design, implementation and support to the manufacturing business unit in Poland.
Key Accountabilities
1. Manage day-to-day operations and support of ERP and other IT systems. Co-ordinate upgrades and enhancements as necessary ensuring that the products remains in support from the vendor and in line with international policy.
2. Manage the network and computing infrastructure.
3. Provide an interface between the Polish business and any international projects which affect IS. Ensure the interests of the business are adequately represented within such projects.
4. Manage IS projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules and in line with group IS project methodology.
5. Provide the IS representation to any internal business projects as required utilising the required group IS project methodology. Ensure that IS activities align to the needs of the business.
6. Manage infrastructure including telephone systems to ensure maximum availability. Maintain external support contracts to assist in this task and provide emergency cover. Supervise external contractors to ensure quality and responsiveness.
7. Evaluation, procurement and implementation of hardware and software in accordance with group standards.
8. Ensure at all times that the business and all users comply with all areas of the Security and Governance policy.
9. Communicate and Interface with UK IS and other ABF IS functions as required.
10. Manage and control budgets for the business IS function. Ensure cost effectiveness of services and purchases.
11. Provide proactive support to users at all levels and locations. Manage infrastructure and services involved in supporting the requirements of distributed home / remote users to Operating System level.
12. Maintain site licences for the organisation.
13. Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
14. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
15. Lead, encourage and train users in the use of IS systems, applications and interfaces.
16. Supervising, coaching, and mentoring of Poland Network Administrator position.
17. Bring to the attention of management any issues which may affect profitability or efficiency of the business and make recommendations on system enhancements.
18. Monitor existing systems to prevent infringements of policy and ensure best practice.
19. Proactively report to the business on service delivery, KPI’s and key IS issues.
Key Relationships
- Internal – Local business management, users at all levels, other IS Departments, other ABF IS stakeholders.
- External – Suppliers, Service providers.
Role Requirements
Experience / Attainments
- ERP experience; preferably with QAD application(s).
- Server systems management experience (Windows/Unix/Linux/VMWare)
- Previous experience managing systems and infrastructure.
- Experience of managing and troubleshooting Local and Wide area networks and telephony systems.
Skills / Knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft AD, Microsoft desktop Operating systems and Office suites.
- Practical knowledge of IP networks and infrastructure, communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
- Awareness of IS Security and Best practice.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - English and Polish language.
