IS Program Manager Job in New York 10012, New York Us
Reporting to the Head of Information Systems, the Program Manager will have direct accountability and responsibility of planning and executing a major business transformation project enabled by the IT department over the next 3 years. The 3 year IT Strategy contains over 20 major initiatives that include the following: new ERP roll out, new Merchandising / Planning systems, implementation of a next generation Point of Sale system, eCommerce platform evolutions etc.
IS Projects Governance:
- Setup, sustain and oversee a new governance process for projects review and prioritization at VP level and at senior executive steering committee
- Prepare and Host quarterly steering committees with senior executive
IS Projects Management:
- Framework: Define a new set of templates tools to bring best in class Project management practices to Marc Jacobs. Align with the company’s culture and spearhead constants evolutions and improvements of these best practices.
- Oversee day to day activities of the teams’ projects managers.
- Projects approval gateway: Define a new process for review and approval of new projects requests. Build proper projects approval packages with the business units, confirm conditions and parameters needed by the executive steering committee to make proper decisions on pursuing these new initiatives, including ROI calculation, Capacity and Resource planning (IS and business teams), impact on other projects etc. and present recommendations to head of IS and Steering Committee
- IS Team resource planning: work with the business analysts to properly estimate, plan, optimize the use of IT resources (internal team as well as consulting resources)
Internal communication:
- Daily, act as a liaison with business units to communicate on project implementation progress, issues and risks, manage scope evolutions, support and maintain trust in project deployment, especially during go-live and post go-live phases.
- Own Projects status meetings and executive dashboards.
- Plan and host regular steering committees with the business units and with senior management
Budget and schedule management:
- Own projects Capital and Operational investments, projected ROI, track expenses vs. budget and act appropriately to maintain projects on budget.
- Own the Program and projects schedule, quality / risk management and change management elements
Enterprise Architecture: Manage the enterprise architecture team (1-2 resources) and the Development team that support the Business Analysts (2-3 resources)
