IS Support Analyst (Infrastructure)

Title: IS Support Analyst (Infrastructure) - 12 month contract Department: IS Department Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
Purpose:
The position will primarily be responsible for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 operating system and core application (e.g. Microsoft Office 2010) level 3 support, testing, monitoring, and image maintenance. Close interaction and support with the help desk and other global IT functions are required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate service/support needs with Vendors, Technical Support Engineers, Application Support Engineers, and the Infrastructure Team
- Regularly interact and communicate with global support team members, based in Europe, Asia Pacific and at our US headquarters.
- Responsible for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 operating system and core application (e.g. Microsoft Office 2010) level 3 support, testing, monitoring, and image maintenance.
- Proactively defines and implements technical solutions to improve systems.
- Takes responsibility for managing and prioritising assigned support and project activities based on understood business need.
- Effects technology change either as part of a larger project team (5+) or as an individual leading smaller project teams (1–5).
- Completed Bachelor degree in an IT discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience in a technical IT infrastructure role – 2/3rd level systems support
- Experience in the following technologies:
- Microsoft Server 2003/2008
- VMWare support and management
- Citrix
- SCCM and Deployment Strategies
Knowledge of
- HP Proliant Server Hardware
- PC/Laptop Hardware
- Windows 7
Desired:
Candidates will have an understanding of one or more of the following technologies:
- Active Directory (AD)
- TCP/IPNetworking LAN/WAN etc
- Exchange 2003/2007
- SAN Technologies
