Our client is a US Top-Tier Investment Bank currently expanding in Asia, and specifically in Hong Kong as well. This role sits with a Transaction Management team which is responsible for managing the documentation needs of the APAC derivatives businesses in a holistic view. With an expanding focus from primarily Fixed Income business into Equities and commodities as well as an enlarging regional coverage, this new headcount arises for an experienced professional on ISDA documentation / confirmation to join the excellent and high-calibre team.
Reporting to the team head, you will work along 2 other senior members of the team in Hong Kong and 2 in Singapore. Most of the team were high calibre professionals from a legal background. In this role, you will prepare and negotiate the ISDA Master Agreement with counterparties. Current regional coverage includes Asia ex-Japan including India but will be expanding globally soon. You will liaise with sales/trading, legal and operations groups across regions (on-shore and off-shore) to accurately reflect in written agreements the business, legal and credit terms of transactions. You will draft Term Sheets and draft Confirmations for new/bespoke structured transactions; Final Terms of Credit Linked Notes/Loans, Fixed Income Notes, Commodity Linked Notes (including SPV structures). This role allows you excellent growth opportunity with on-going expansion and new coverage with a good work-life balance.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business, or any other relevant disciplines ideally in a numerate discipline from a reputable overseas university
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience ISDA Documentation / Confirmation
- Excellent communication skills in English;
- Proactive personality and fast learner
- Flexible to work long hours and face challenges when necessary
