ISDA Documentation Specialist recruitment
Several of the team are legally qualified and many of the others have a legal background.
The team's main function is to negotiate framework agreements, providing a platform for derivatives and capital markets transactions, such as the ISDA Master Agreement and collateral support agreement (CSA), IETA/NBP, Prime Brokerage, and Finance Linked Swaps.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with a varied portfolio of negotiations including hedge funds, pension funds, asset managers, trusts, structured finance deals etc.
- Undertaking negotiations independently with end users/clients based upon relevant credit approvals, internal instructions and procedures.
- Cooperating with and coordinate with different internal clients, including credit risk, legal and business segments, as well as marketing and trading staff, whilst managing their own files and ensuring all performance targets achieved.
- Providing internal training among team members and to main stakeholders such as credit risk and business colleagues.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience of negotiating master agreements.
- Preferably a law degree irrespective which area of specialisation
- Language skills: French, German or Spanish language skills preferred but not essential.
- Legal drafting skills (if compromise language is sought, Negotiators should be able to independently draft legally sound provisions in English).
- Pragmatic, team player, service orientated and self-motivated; being a service department, client-comes-first mentality at all times is strongly required.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for these roles.
