iSeries System Manager

Position Description:
The iSeries administrator will manage all aspects of the iSeries (AS400) systems at all locations to ensure high availability and the highest levels of performance.
The administrator will have broad responsibilities for maintaining and supporting this platform, including hardware set up and configuration.
This position is also responsible for the development of management level performance reports, capacity planning and utilization forecasting to provide recommendations for additional resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years of System Management working in iSeries or AS400 environments
- 5+ years of experience working hands-on with all aspects of the iSeries system management (.i.e. hardware, tuning, performance, resource utilization)
- 5+ years of experience performing system tuning, performance data gathering, capacity management, conducting analysis and writing system related requirements
Assets:
- Experience working with MIMIX
- Experience Websphere MQ, Aldon, and/or other third party iSeries tools
- Experience with facilitating technical sessions
- Knowledge of Windows NT/XP
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Access
- MS SQL Server experience
