The iShares brand was launched in 2000 and has since become the leading ETF provider with over $375 billion in assets under management globally and just under 50% US ETF industry market share, as of August 2010. iShares runs almost 400 ETFs globally, holding securities in various asset classes ranging from US domestic equity to fixed income, to emerging and frontier markets. The target audience for iShares includes intermediaries (financial advisors) and institutional investors.

Role Description
This individual is responsible for creating, representing and delivering the messaging and positioning of the iShares value proposition to our RIA clients through the creation of strategic content and differentiated support.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic marketing plans for RIA and TPM client segments that are tailored to reflect the specific needs and voice of the channel.
- Identify industry trends and opportunities to create relevant strategic and tactical messaging to increase iShares ETF usage.
- Understand client behavior, practices and trends on which to create an innovative, relevant and impactful iShares experience for specific RIA client needs.
- Implement and execute campaigns and messaging through appropriate marketing and DS teams (ex: web, events, social, PR, product mktg, RM, advertising, research).
- Partner with Client Content Messaging to develop marketing content for channel campaigns.
- Manage integrated marketing campaigns including: messaging, brand identity/visual, campaign reporting and internal communications, that span businesses and delivery channels (ex: Enhanced, Factors, iSharesBonds, Min-Vol, etc.).
- Drive measurement and analysis of marketing programs across the RIA channel. Share results internally to enhance future campaigns.
- Execute direct marketing campaigns to various client segments in coordination with agency and database marketing teams.
Skills Qualifications
- 7 -10 years minimum investment related experience with prior sales, marketing and/or client relationship experience with institutional clients required
- BA/BS CIMA, CIMC, CFA a plus Background in RIA, brokerage, bank, investment manager, consultant, or pensions/endowment
- Ability to understand and articulate complex investment concepts and strategies at multiple levels
- Ability to understand institutional client audience and help drive value proposition through the delivery of education, thought leadership, web and tool development, and strategic content
- Ability to connect with partners across borders to understand gaps in knowledge
- Expertise in investment products, asset classes and/or practice management
- Sound knowledge of modern portfolio theory, index investing, asset allocation principles and fiduciary responsibility
- Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, drive forward key initiatives and manage workflow on simultaneous projects
- Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance, team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent written, grammatical and editorial skills
- Strong team player
