Islamic Banking CEO recruitment
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the business heads (consumer, wholesale and treasury) for Islamic banking business growth
- Setting Islamic banking budget on a macro level
- Supervise the competitiveness of all Islamic banking products to facilitate sales
- Monitoring and market scanning on competitor’s offerings for benchmarking
- Work closely with business support heads to ensure Islamic banking portfolio is accurately captured and reported.
- To ensure compliance with legal, statutory, Shariah requirements and policies.
- Ensure that staff are well versed with Islamic banking products and documentations/processes through structured training programs with training department in addition to specific product training on new products.
- Draft business plans to chart the growth of the Islamic business profitably and to develop new areas of business capital markets and investment business.
- To ensure compliance with regulatory standards for Anti Money Laundry Act (AMLA)/Business
- Continuity Plan (BCP) and any others regulations that may be required by the governing authorities
- To emplace Islamic risk management framework
Experience Required
• In-depth knowledge of Islamic banking concepts
• Conventional banking products and operations (for comparison and basis for Islamic operations)
• In-depth of Islamic product and Shariah principles
• Degree / MBA Professional qualification holder with minimum 10 years of banking experience directly in Islamic Banking (both consumer and enterprise)
• Most preferably to have some basic Shariah / Islamic academic background (diploma / degree level)
• Must have at least 5 years experience as division Head
• Background in Investment Banking a plus.
