IT ADMINISTRATOR

 

My client is seeking a strong administrator to join their IT Administration team. The role involves liaising with internal staff and suppliers in respect of the   procurement   of  IT  equipment  and  software  and  for  maintaining inventories and licensing records for the department.

 

Working as part of a small team, key responsibilities will include:

 

·        Maintaining inventories of all IT assets

·        Maintaining  a  software  register  and  ensuring  that  all software is properly licensed and up to date

·        Issuing and maintaining building access control cards

·        Administering  the  purchase  of  IT  equipment  and software from CAPEX approvals, purchase order placement and invoice payment

·        Managing  the  IT  administration of new starters, transfers and leavers including PC, telephone and security access

·        Working  with  Desktop  support  to  complete  physical  audits  of both hardware and software estates.

·        Ensuring  service  requests  are  dealt  with  in line with Service Desk processes

·        Conducting stock control checks and asset tagging of hardware equipment

·        Working  with Desktop Support to ensure floor plans are updated and thatthe asset register is kept up to date with any office moves.

 

To be successful in this position you will have a strong understanding of software asset management and license models and be experienced in working within a procurement environment. You will have excellent communication skills, in particular a good telephone manner, and be proficient in MS Excel and Access.

 

Experience of working within a service management orientated environment or an ITIL qualification would be a distinct advantage.
