IT Application Support Manager Commodities
City based Investment Bank seek a Application Support / Team Management experience on a regional or global level for the Commodities IT support Team you will have experience supporting OpenLink, XENA and Solarc. Business specific knowledge including the following product types – Precious Metals, Base Metals, Power, Oil and Natural Gas. Reporting to the Global production Services Manager, the role will need you to lead the Global Commodities Support team in providing a high level of service to end users across the Business and also ensure key IT driven initiatives are successful. You will be expected to plan and implement the strategic and tactical changes required to deliver a 1st class Support model for the Global Commodities group.
Key Responsibilities:
• Incident and Problem Management – Ensuring all issues are captured, managed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Change and Release Management – Ensure standard best practice guidelines are introduced (testing, approval and releases).
• Systems Capacity and Performance – Ensure sufficient capacity is maintained on all systems provided for stability and growth.
• Business Continuity - Working with the business leads, make sure all relevant systems are available in a BC Scenario.
• Sarbanes-Oxley-Act (SOX) and Audit – Implementation and manage adherence to of guidelines and procedures as required for SOX and Internal Audit.
• Minor Works - Manage mini projects to perform Non Code Dependant upgrades (i.e. vendor based and database versions).
• Business/Information Technology (IT)/Vendor Management - Work with all key stake-holders from the Business and IT.
• Capture requirements and maintain good communications.
• Management Information System (MIS) Reporting - Ensure all key data is being captured to present critical MIS for Senior IT and Business Managers.
• You will also be responsible for staff hiring and development.
You will have:
• Temperament to work under pressure in a fast moving and demanding environment.
• Good communication skills – ability to liaise with both Business and IT users in a clear manner.
• Commodities IT support experience including OpenLink, XENA and Solarc.
• Business specific knowledge including the following product types – Precious Metals, Base Metals, Power, Oil and Natural Gas.
• Application Support / Team Management experience on a regional or global level.
• IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) awareness.
