IT Applications Systems Administrator
Description Applications Systems Administrator will be responsible for the application administration, maintenance, and Tier 3 incident support of designated enterprise-level and/or line of business applications. Leads the technical aspects of application implementation, and integration and coordinates efforts with various functional leaders. Evaluates, plans, and directs the implementation of application changes, upgrades, and patches in a timely manner including associated test environments. Essential Duties: ? Responsible for the planning, designing, configuration, testing, and implementation of enterprise-level applications. Perform routine monitoring activities and periodic performance tuning and resource optimization as required. Provide Tier 3 support activities. ? Responsible for the development of system operations and maintenance manual. Identify, document, and provide training and education to Technical Support and Operations teams. ? Coordinate application maintenance, backup, archive, and recovery strategies with internal and external engineers. Investigate problems reported by users of the systems and collaborate with team members on problem resolution. ? Responsible for release management activities, code promotion, and application configuration changes across deployment environments (Dev, Test, Production) while adhering to the IT Request For Change process and procedures. ? Partner with IT Business Partners, project managers, consultants, and business line leaders to implement continuous improvement solutions. Serve as a technical system expert providing systems design, support, and training as needed to support corporate goals. Education: Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related area MCITP or similar certification preferred. Skills and Knowledge: 5 - 8 years of experience in system implementations at an enterprise level required. Experience in systems design, support, and training for enterprise-wide application deployments required. ? Extensive knowledge of core enterprise applications such as PeopleSoft Financials, SharePoint Portal Server, Heat Help Desk Software, Harland E3, Document Imaging Systems, Core Banking Systems, CRM Systems, IIS, MS Office. ? Proficient in using and supporting programming/scripting languages: HTML, VB, C#, PeopleCode, SQL, PowerShell, VB Script, Batch. ? Advanced understanding of Active Directory and associated components such as, but not limited to: Group Policy, LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM. ? Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires self-motivation, independence, and strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and decision making skills. Ability to work collaboratively with internal customers. ? Demonstrate conceptual, quantitative, and analytical skills. Ability to adapt to new methods, techniques and procedures. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. ? Ability to think creatively, work under pressure, and demonstrate strong excellent attention to detail. Office Environment ? no specific or unusual physical demands.
