IT Architect (London Branch) recruitment
The primary function of the architect will be to ensure successful timely delivery of all the projects being carried out by the development teams and to support RTB (Run The Bank) activities.
The ideal candidate should have technical expertise on all banking applications being used, how they link to each other in the system at an Architect level. He should have excellent hands on knowledge on all the technical systems / application being used in the branch and should be able to resolve all technical queries and day–to-days concerns of the team members.
He should have proven Project Management experience in dealing with third party vendors e.g. SharePoint, IBM, Northdoor etc. He/she will co-ordinate manage project outputs using Project Management Methodology ideally using Prince2.
He should have a keen eye to spot Quality work and ensure that development teams follow all the development quality processes procedures. He/she should ensure and check all necessary documentation a procedures is up -to--date.
He/should possess skills and business acumen to work as a Business Analyst to help scope pro-jects and plan schedule Project Deliverables accordingly.
The role will involve liaising with users, third party consultants business users to ensure a good working relationship. All stakeholders interested parties that need new software applications to be developed or need IT expertise to discuss technical specifications with third party vendors.
The successful applicant will be capable of managing and supporting teams and motivating them to excel in their work while incorporating changes in their daily tasks as a result of improvements in systems and processes. The candidate will have proven experience in being able to understand the origination of problems which arise and would have proven experience in resolving such issue. The successful applicant will also have strong written and oral communication skills

- Enhancing the systems and processes to maximise the efficiency of the team.
- Assisting the Head of IT as required.
Required Skills
- A minimum 10+ years of relevant experience within an investment bank. Will be able to demon-strate strong knowledge of the products traded, systems, processes and controls.
- A practically professionally qualified individual with a proven demonstrable track record.
