Description

The job holder implements specific IT or business programs and directs potential technology-based product offerings. S/he manages Software Process Improvement efforts for smaller Lines of Business by coordinating usage and awareness of best Software Processes and methods on all projects using the Capability Maturity Model (CMM). S/he also supports the Software Engineering Process Group in a particular line of business to accomplish Software Process Improvement using the Capability Maturity Model.

Experience managing IT assets (Preferred Fortune 500 / Financial Services)

Expert knowledge of ITAM processes, software licensing, hardware asset lifecycle and industry standards

*
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

*
Experience leading cross-functional functions (Technology, Finance and Procurement) in a matrix environment

Knowledge of IT Asset Management processes, SW HW licensing models and general asset lifecycle events

*
Experience in change management, software hardware audits

*
Understanding of service management, specifically Asset Management industry trends, products and services

*
Experience with hardware and software discovery tools (HP DDMi, LANDesk, Altiris, etc)

*
IAITAM certifications ( CHAMP or CITAM) is preferred

Expert knowledge of HP Asset Manager (v.511 or higher) a huge plus

Qualifications

Minimum 6 - 8 years experience required. Job holder must have experience with Software Process Improvement activities, related tools and a working knowledge of Capability Maturity Model, level 2 and 3 process areas. S/he must be experienced in all major development and delivery phases and activities for delivering new or enhanced applications. Job holder must have some experience with vendor-provided or in-house structured methodologies. S/he must have an in-depth understanding of process optimization, diagnosis and improvements.S/he must also have prior experience consulting to multiple clients on a variety projects. Job holder must be an experienced decision maker who is skilled in high-risk negotiations. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree or Project Mangement Professional (PMP) Certification beneficial.
