Job Description
To provide independent assurance of compliance to internal and external obligations through an effective Audit and Assurance framework, and fulfill requirements for a country level audit capability.
Key Roles Responsibilities
Risk Governance:
- At the direction of Senior Audit Manager, Technology Support, attend various risk engagements in order to better understand issues.
- Follow up the closure of assigned audit issues
- Keep the key stakeholders apprised of significant risks as they are identified.
Internal Audit and Assurance:
- Ensure that local, regulatory and Board audit requirements are identified and met through audits assurance reviews that are conducted in accordance with an agreed methodology.
- When assigned as team leader, lead a small team of professional auditors to conduct audit and assurance assignments, implement and maintain adherence to the Groups audit and assurance methodologies.
- Evaluating and testing of design and controls related to infrastructure, telecommunications, application controls, logical access and security, system development and capacity planning, etc in a wide range of environments (including mainframe, mid-range and client/server) as well as the disaster recovery planning.
- Perform system project reviews during different project life cycle and any other audit assurance assignments as designated by the team leader/manager .
- Provide business stakeholders with a clear understanding of areas of control weakness and where possible suggestions on how to rectify.
- Identify and escalate ineffective controls and track for final rectification, ensuring a continuous improvement in control quality.
Qualifications Skills
- University graduates, solid experience in banking technology or technology audit environment in relation to banking industry.
- Good understanding of the technical aspects of information system infrastructure and data centre management, with strong project management skill.
- Ability to make balanced commercial judgments and provide pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to lead a small professional team in an effective manner. Work independently both at team member and leader level.
- Flexibility to work across the functions and situations, and change priorities at short notice.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in oral and in written English and Chinese.
- A professional qualification such as CISA, CISM and CISSP is preferred.
