IT Business Analyst (Financial Services)

Job Title: Business Application Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as liaison between operational business departments and technical resources; work with end users to oversee the development of functional requirements and resolve technical issues. Serve as key resource in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing support of business systems and applications.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

        Provide expert level support for information systems in use in the Financial Services Operations areas, including Credit, Customer Service, Remarketing and Sales/Marketing.

        Serve as one of the primary contacts between Financial Services and application development vendors.

        Supervise design, development and testing of system enhancements and upgrades to ensure business requirements are met.

        Participate in all related business systems projects providing system knowledge and expertise and overseeing development activities and testing to ensure successful implementation.

        Provide expertise in both the business process and the systems that support that process.

        Provide alternative system changes to business owners to help support changes in user requirements, communicating the benefits, cost and limitations of each approach.

        Communicate system changes to vendors, providing knowledge of business process in support of the development team

        Track and monitor all open issues with multiple vendors / business units and escalate problems as necessary

        Review vendor work quality and compliance to service level agreements for assigned areas

        Maintains customer focus; increase business systems customer satisfaction with business users.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, formal training, experience, specialized knowledge, and special skills.)

Education:

        4-year Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration or comparable experience;

        3-5 years’ experience in comparable position as a senior analyst.

        Experience in the Automotive Financial Services industry is a plus

        Strong communication and organizational skills

COMPETENCIES:

        Broad-based IT background with solid experience in two or more of the following:

Ø  Systems lifecycle experience with analysis, design, and development knowledge

Ø  SQL Database experience

Ø  Relational Database and data warehousing skills

Ø  Programming experience a plus

Ø  Fiserv knowledge a plus

Ø  SAP experience a plus
