Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient, and is a leading providing of energy efficiency solutions worldwide. HBS specializes in service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.
This driven and self-motivated IT Business Analyst will work with multiple geographies, functions, co-source partners, applications and platforms. The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between IT and the business to analyze business needs, document requirements and ensure solution designs that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with business partners to document existing processes, define detailed business requirements and provide guidance on prioritization.
- Partner with key stakeholders to streamline business processes, identify improvement opportunities and resolve system problems.
- Develop detailed functional requirements, system process and data flows, and system integration requirements that align with business and IT needs.
- Partner with the technical team during solution development. Serve as a subject matter expert and ensure all deliverables conform to both business and IT specifications.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure the quality of the solution. Assist with test script development and User Acceptance Testing to ensure thorough end to end testing.
- Provide input into the creation of detailed project plans and work assignments.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
- 3+ years of business analyst experience
Desired Qualifications
- Track record of delivering quality solutions that meet or exceeds business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical subject matter experts.
- Experience gathering, documenting and prioritizing business requirements and developing use cases.
- Ability to facilitate complex workshops among diverse groups of stakeholders in both large and small group settings.
- Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and practices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Broad understanding of a variety of technology platforms including SAP, SQL, .NET, and SharePoint.
- Experience with a variety of modeling tools.
- Project Management implementation experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt or DFSS certification.
