IT Business Analyst recruitment
Leading Commodities Trading House in London is seeking 3 new IT Business Analysts as they are re-investing profit into their technology in order to automate everything they can, make improvements and enhancements to their Front, Middle and Back Office systems. The Successful candidate will have proven delivery across the SDLC. All applicants will need Commodities Trading knowledge, either practical (preferred) or theoretical.
Expected to be a domain expert in at least one of the following broad areas:
- trade capture for physical commodity transactions, or commodity derivatives
- confirmation management, including term sheet and confirmation/contract production
- commodity scheduling/logistics
- pricing and risk, including real time valuation
- back office trade processing, including invoicing, payments and accounting
- trade securitisation, treasury/firm liquidity and collateral management
Requirements
Proven ability to act as a bridge between the business and highly technical developers, translating business concepts into requirements that are implementable
Expected to have circa 5+ years experience (circa 10+ years for the senior roles) of requirements analysis in a commercial environment
Expected to have a broad knowledge of commodities trading, ideally for physical commodities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid SQL, VBA skills
Strong academic background excellent degree from a top tier university is required in a subject that demonstrates the need for logical thinking, precise understanding and clear articulation
