IT Business Developer

Location: North-West London

Salary: £45,000 OTE per annum + benefits

Our client was established in 1987, and is a computer software reseller based in North-West London.
They require a passionate, energetic and motivated individual who wishes to further their career in IT sales.
Business Developers are responsible for selling Their products and solutions to Their clients as well as
managing client relationships.
Ideal candidates will thrive on work that is often challenging and fast paced.

Specific duties include:
-Develop pipeline activities to target prospects through the provision of quotations and bid response documentation
-Demonstrate strong territory management
-Increase the scope of products and services being purchased by customers
-Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through professional engagement at all levels
-Maintain a high level of knowledge of the products and services we offer
-Maintain a high level of knowledge and awareness of the general IT marketplace
-Maintain up-to-date records of all activities with regard to customers including completion of
customer records
-Drive revenue and margin improvements
-Support the Line Manager in driving efficiency improvements whilst sharing and implementing best practice
-Ensure sales growth: identify and create leads and close sales opportunities
-Develop partner vendor engagements: maintain and expand the engagement of vendors and partners, managing these engagements to drive sales growth
-Analyse competition: analysis of competitors potential to affect sales growth, development and
implementation of effective responses to competitive activities
-Perform account targeting and planning: ensure the customer is reviewed regularly, undertake
campaign and opportunity planning to maximise sales effectiveness.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
The Business Developer will be IT-literate with demonstrable experience of successful sales within
the IT industry. Good interpersonal and presentation skills are a prerequisite. A professional
demeanour, commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to engage credibly with key
decision-makers in the commercial environment is of paramount importance.
-Extensive sales and account management experience in the IT services market
-Clear spoken and written English is an essential requirement
-Strong credibility including professional appearance, market awareness and attention to detail
-Credible technology and services knowledge and the ability to articulate this effectively when
communicating with the client decision-makers up to CIO level

The ability to effectively manage and maintain long-term customer relationships at the highest
level
-The ability to work effectively with management in defining the right proposition for a specific
client’s needs
-The ability to manage the entire deal lifecycle from inception to start of delivery and commercial
close
-The ability to adapt style to customer requirements
-Enthusiasm, dynamism and initiative
-The ability to work as part of a dedicated team
The package is £45,000 OTE per annum + benefits.
