IT Business Relationship Manager Job Description: Our client is looking for a IT Business Relationship Manager with a strong architect/solutions development background, who will represent IT and act as a single point of contact to deliver technology solutions, services and consulting support. This position is located in midtown NYC and is a fulltime opportunity. Required experience: - Minimum of 8+ years in the following areas of experience: - Program management or management level experience implementing technical solutions - Information Technology experience across multiple IT disciplines - Managing complex cross functional projects with inter-related IT and Business requirements - Consulting with business organizations and executives on technical solutions - Proven ability to develop effective relationships and to work at all levels of a company including senior and executive management. - Experience working effectively across divisional lines in a complex, multi-site organization. - Very strong leadership qualities with definitive, successful experience in leadership positions - Experience in leading technology change initiatives - Broad business knowledge (media and entertainment knowledge preferred) - The highest levels of technical analysis conceptual design skills including architecture and solution development, - Extensive skills in internal financial, vendor management and consulting experience including negotiating contracts - Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills - Proven history of taking accountability for own work and results. Demonstrated ability to form constructive opinions and defend them. - Strong organization and time management skills Education: Bachelor's degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience. Summary of responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a strong strategic relationship with department serving as a liaison between the business stakeholders and IT organization. Provide outstanding customer service and ensure priority and project support and commitment. - Represent IT department and act as a single point of contact for department management to deliver technology solutions, services and consulting support. - Proactively work with departments to identify and leverage IT solutions to enable business objectives. - Develop IT solutions by collaborating with department management and key people within their departments. - Provide IT leadership in assessing vendor technologies, applications and services and/or architecting and developing solutions. - Maintain alignment of IT projects and initiatives with the department priorities - Successfully manage project and initiatives on time and within budget - Facilitate communication of decisions and relevant information to IT and business departments for all requests and projects. - Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and guidance to IT staff in either a direct report or matrix model to foster a strong, business focused, team atmosphere - Facilitate an environment that optimizes the use of IT resources and services to meet the needs of the business Desired Skills: - Strong technical knowledge, business acumen and communication skills. - Strong expectation management, influencing and conflict resolution skills - Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization. - Demonstrated ability to think strategically, work independently and develop strategies to prioritize and optimize client relationships. - Strong ability to motivate teams and coach and train others - Advanced knowledge of process evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles.
