The Role – IT Compliance Consultant (046018)
Provides APAC ex-India support for IT activities, including researching and identifying issues, reporting, training and other duties as assigned. Detects and advises IT management of potential IT compliance / Audit issues and recommends procedural changes.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and monitors IT procedures, practices and other activities to assure compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements for Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Singapore and Tokyo offices.
- Provides IT input and functional knowledge as it relates to compliance with applicable laws, rules and standards.
- Responds to internal and external inquiries and requests for information to clarify impact on the IT of the various audit and regulatory requirements.
- Update appropriate procedurals changes
- Identifies and escalates to IT management any regulatory compliance risks associated with the IT activities.
- Researches and assists in the development of reports and solutions for issues being addressed by the IT as assigned by Corporate Compliance and by IT management.
- Participates in all applicable training and attends seminars to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments as necessary
- Carries out IT related activities that may be required to support Corporate Compliance guidelines.
- Provides support to actions assigned by Corporate Compliance and IT management as necessary to resolve compliance issues, including actions in response to Regulatory exam findings.
- Act as a contact point within the Company for Compliance inquiries from partners
- Able to represent IT and interact with internal and external auditors and regulators on IT procedures and internal policies.
- Willing to take on additional assignments as and when assigned by the Information Services Manager
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of IT systems is preferred.
- Problem solving and organizational skills are needed to perform multiple, complex assignments as well as to resolve inquiries and manage conflicting priorities.
- Analytical and logic skills are required to analyse and summarize information.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential to successfully service and maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to read and write Mandarin
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years proven audit, compliance and/or regulatory experience, or equivalent
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, system applications and PC, office and desktop tools.
- Willingness to work with US partners outside business hours
- Some travel may be required
