Major Duties:

The Configuration Manager Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration, identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with current DoD hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

Manages all aspects of systems configurations and ensures all pertinent FDDC, NETCOM, and local configurations are processed and implemented to ensure compliance with all regulatory guidance.

The Configuration Manager is responsible for management, integrity, disbursement, and documentation of customer assets and configurable items. The CM also develops and maintains a repository of information in Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007).

- Design, develop and establish configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.
- Ensure project timelines are met.
- Elicit and gather requirements from TBOC IT staff and users as they are informally expressed.
- Conduct liaison between the Directors within the TBOC.
- Candidate should have extensive experience and knowledge in managing the configuration of DoD Security/Information Systems.
- Working knowledge of Army security and/or communications requirements and equipment.
- Ability to clearly and accurately document observations and propose or assess corrective actions.
- Demonstrated capability to operate independently and perform with minimal guidance.
- Possess excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal relationships and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Provide analysis, assessments, and recommendations to the TBOC IT Director regarding all aspects of IT related CM.

Required Skills:
- Experience with the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- Experience in Configuration Management on large program efforts
- Well versed in Configuration Management CMMI standards
- Minimum of BS/BA in a technical field and 5 years of experience.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with senior management, as well as technical staff.
- Large-scale IT projects development/management experience.
- Must possess a Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI.
- Must possess a US passportPreferred Skills:
- Former military preferred with experience in Configuration Management - branch of service immaterial.
