IT Desktop Engineering and Projects Lead - £45-55K+

A growing global financial company is looking to hire a Global Desktop Technical Engineering and Projects Lead to take responsibility for architecture and delivery of the desktop technical roadmap globally - including overall technical management, projects, licensing and budgets in a supervisory capacity for the enterprise environment.
The role will involve planning and managing major desktop projects, including software/hardware deployments and associated migrations so experience with large scale software/hardware deployments is essential - alongside directing for the PC/Laptop software and hardware enterprise estate.

- Subject matter expert for desktop estate management
- Software Deployment and Packaging - Hardware Deployment - Altiris
- Windows 7, Windows Server, Active Directory
- EnterpriseAdmin Technologies:TivoliEndpoint, Symantec Endpoint, Avecto
- Hardware/Software Deployment and Migration Projects e.g. MS Office 07 to 10
- Desktop standards and associated security
- PC/Management Tools Vendor Management
- ITIL
The technical lead should excel working in a fast paced environment, where there is continuous change and maximum system up-time is required. The team works closely with Windows, Unix, Networks, Databases and Security teams so there is huge scope for enhancing knowledge of multiple disciplines and growing within the business.
