Role Synopsis
Baker Hughes needs a IT Engineering Support person in The Woodlands, TX. This position specializes in the engineering sector and gives you great exposure to the applications engineering department.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Under limited supervision, responds to and diagnoses problems for enterprise-managed applications and systems and/or routine hardware, software, and network problems. Interacts with vendors and other functional teams in order to restore services and correct core problems. Handles and tracks routine incidents and problems escalated by the solutions center and provide resolutions. Configures and deploys hardware in accordance with agreed upon SLAs. Participates in on-call rotation. Handles special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field or equivalent. 4+ years experience.
- 2 years in engineering or engineering support.
- Knowledge in Engineering Systems and Process is required.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Operating Systems.
- 1 year supporting NX
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Desired engineering systems include: Solidworks, Pro-E, AutoCAD, TeamCenter and/or DBWorks.
- Knowledge of business processes and IT industry trends and developments.
- Demonstrated technical competence within area of expertise.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communications and customer service skills.
- Knowledge with COE desktop image creation, WIM, Ghost, and Power Quest
- Enterprise Desktop and server patching and software deployment.
- Self starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks over different product lines
- Proven track record of quickly learning new technologies
- Experience with full lifecycle management
