IT eSolutions Functional Support recruitment
The eSFS team deals directly with clients, technical support, vendors and exchanges. The candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
• Issues and Systems management:
-Conduct trade mitigation with clients and exchanges,
-Confirm order status and top day executions,
-Inform end users of outages,
-Advise clients on functional and technical questions,
-Assist new users with installation and technical set up,
-Perform daily pro-active monitoring of the system,
-Report bugs and enhancement requests to the various ISVs and open trouble tickets with vendors and Newedge internal database,
-Follow up production tickets to ensure resolution (ie. updating and closing tickets),
-Understand and apply Newedge compliance and risk procedures when setting up pre-trade limits for existing accesses.
• Exchanges and Systems upgrades/migrations:
-Manage upgrades/migrations projects of various size,
-Analyze systems upgrade impacts and coordinate upgrades with end users.
• System Documentation and UAT:
-Test new front-end trading application releases in UAT environment,
-Analyse promotion to production impacts,
-Pro-actively contribute to maintaining Newedge eSolutions documentation
• Performance Measurements:
-eSolutions functions are completed in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures,
-Issues reporting is accurate and follow-up in a timely manner (JIRA tickets),
-Assistance and support provided is of high quality (AEs and clients feedback),
-Communication and coordination with other Newedge teams (review of emails),
-Supervisor and Manager are kept informed appropriately of areas activities
Requirements
• University graduate or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of the front end of one or more of the following trading applications: FIX 4.2, Trading Technologies, GL Trade, Patsystems or ORC. User knowledge of Windows and MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with basic operational markets knowledge
• 3 to 5 years experience in financial markets (Securities and Derivatives markets) or production management or front office support desk
• Attentive to details, accurate and well organised. Co-operative and willing to assist others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work under stressful situation
• Has analytical thinking mindsets and ability to deal with multi-cultural and multi-layer of clients
• Fluent in English (other Asian languages appreciated)
• Basic understanding of networks and computer systems. Familiar with Information Technology standards like ITIL would be an added advantage
